Southpaw 2015
Of all the sports out there, boxing is my least favorite. In fact, I won't even watch it. Not because I'm a woman and find it too violent. I am a hockey fan, I'll have you know. And I am also a fan of Southpaw. How did this happen? I hate boxing! Jake G and Rachel McAdams are hot and likable as always. Throw in wonderful actor Forest Whittaker and it's a no brainer. Somehow this movie had an appeal, that kept me watching and thinking about for days after. It was kind of ROCKY and kind of not. Ok... so I will label it a "refreshing ROCKY" . Bobby Hope's fall from grace has more to it because there''s a child involved. Anyway, as you can tell, I liked it. It's not easy to keep me intrigued and Southpaw did it's job.

Vikings
Things didn't end well for a lot of characters this season, especially for our hero Ragnar. And anyone whose name starts with S-I-G never lives very long. Examples: Siggy, Baby Siggy and Sigurd Snake in the Eye. I really didn't see that one coming, although it was foreshadowed early in the season. Character with the Best Lines in a Season Finale goes to Floki. Babyface Aethelwulf couldn't catch a break with anyone. Maybe now that he's king, he will. It was good to see Rollo for just a little bit. Then there was Ivar, possibly the best creepiest good guy/bad guy actor going. I will say I like how the sons of Ragnar, sound, act, almost impersonate versions of their father so that even if they don't look exactly like him, you can tell they're related. What will next season bring us? Who will be back? Floki? Torvi? A lot of good characters died, is there time for us to really get to love anyone else except Bjorn and Lagertha, the only two (I think?) remaining first season characters? I hope so, as this is one of my favorite shows.

Sneaky Interviews Chloe
https://sneakylibrarycat.wordpress.com/2017/01/14/sneaky-interviews-chloe-author-lisa-diaz-meyers-kitten/
Author/Librarian Debbie DeLouise's Sneaky Cat's Blog is an adorable feature. In last week's blog post, she interviewed my newly rescued kitten Chloe about me and my books ALL ROADS HOME AND ALL ROADS DESTINED. There's an excerpt, some gorgeous kitten Chloe pics and some new ideas written through the eyes of the kitten, who does indeed sit under my feet as I type. I certainly hope you can copy & paste the above and give it a shot. It won't take long. Thanks, if ya' do. Support is always appreciated!

Z-Nation Review
OK, so Z-Nation, you're up at bat. My favorite character is Doc. I think almost everyone's favorite is Doc. This old hippie that knows some medicine saves the day and the show, with his corny lines and likable persona. He looks all frail but to me he is one of the strongest characters on the show. Warren is also good with her beauty and toughness. What I really like about Z-Nation is that it doesn't take itself seriously. There's humor in the post-apocalyptic zombie world. And I'm happy about that.

TWD mid-season finale (possible spoilers)
Awright... who's the one that invented THEE MID-SEASON FINALE?? I remember when a season consisted of a show running from September to June. And the World Series was in like September or something. But I digress, this is BLAH BLAH BLOG and the God awful idea of a mid-season finale is our present, not the nostalgic 60's or 70's.
The Walking Dead... what can I say, it was a good episode. Rick realizes that even submitting to Negan will get people killed, so why not become the ruthless group they really are and fight. Truthfully, a lot of Negan's own group have to have some kind of gripe with him. How he hasn't just been sniped by someone at his camp is beyond me. He creates monsters and carries around a baseball bat for protection.
And don't get me started on Rosita. Don't you look at Sasha like you're all wonderful; getting Olivia killed and Eugene taken away in the memory of Abraham. Finally, the annoying and arrogant Spencer bites it; the entire Monroe family is now defunct. In the comics he is more or less Andrea's boy toy and not Rosita's. Again digressing.
We are all thrilled that Daryl's escaped and with Jesus' help, after pummeling Fat Joey's head in like Glen's and Abraham's heads were. Anyway, once Negan discovers Daryl's gone will he flip? Will he just flip on Dwight?
The second half of THEE SEASON which returns in February, looks incredibly promising. Yay, for satisfying violence! Oh and if you don't already watch the Talking Dead, you might want to consider it. Chris Hardwick is fab. See ya' then!

Channel Zero on Syfy
This mini-show has been over for a few weeks. It's taken me this long to actually write about it because it falls under the category "Things That Make You Go Hmm". The story line was strange and creepy. I loved the idea of the children's show that gave kids the creeps back in the 80's and some of the visuals were unusual and unexpected. But Channel Zero came to an end. It left me wondering if there will be another season with a different story line. So with this show being short and sweet coming literally out of no where, it's something I will remember. Different, odd and obscure. My type of show.

YOU"RE THE WORST on FXX season finale
Woe is me and not for just one reason. I love this show and all its characters. I want to hang out with these wretched folks and partake in caring/not caring about each other. I want to be able to tell them off, live the California life and be in my early 30's. So my running to the TV on Wednesday nights has come to an end, for now. That would be woe number one.
Woe number two, Jimmy abandoning Gretchen on that hill-cliff place. Does he just drive around the corner for a bit of a cry? Was she wearing heels? Because walking home or getting down to the road for someone to pick her up will totally suck. Will they ever get over their mommy/daddy issues? And how long was he sitting on that ring?
I'ts nice to see Lindsay (the evil version of Betty Boop) actually loving the idea of growing up and it was also fun to watch Paul be mean to her or anyone FINALLY. The absolute worst couple of all, Vern and Becca, actually survive the season still together.
Let's face it, Dorothy and Edgar, made no sense. That being said, although I do enjoy all the story lines, my favorite episode was the one when Edgar loses it. The episode revolved completely around him, a rotten day in his rotten life and his serious PTSD problem. In those quick 30 minutes or less we got to see Desmin Borgess' talent. It was an impressionable half hour. Well written and well acted. Season 4, you're well awaited.
