Brave Sophia should be a must in every child's home bookshelf. The lesson towards bravery and courage builds and builds its way up exactly as a child's mind needs to understand it. Most adults can learn something from this too. We identify with poor Sophia when she has to give an oral report in school but is too afraid. Sophia decides life would be easier if she was a hapless butterfly. Instead, she finds strength and courage to follow the path that will lift her up. I certainly hope Tamala Johnson J.D. writes future encouraging books. I want to add that the delicate illustrations are what drew me to Brave Sophia. So not only are our children taught a valuable lesson but they can admire the artwork, as well.

My 5 STAR REVIEW for FEAR INDUCER by Ellie Douglas
Horror, you say? Then horror you shall get! If you like gore and/or creepy villains (like I do) Fear Inducer by horror author Ellie Douglas is right up there receiving a 5 Star review from me.
Our villain is disturbed genius Dr. Felix Bloom, a compassionate psychiatrist who wants to cure your phobia. Or not, because he's also maniacally bloodthirsty. I really don't want to give more away but if you're seeing a doctor about a phobia, well let's just hope their IQ isn't as high or as twisted as Dr. Bloom's.
My 5 STAR REVIEW on Amazon and Goodreads : If you like horror and gore, Fear Inducer is perfect from beginning to end. Dr. Felix Bloom might be my favorite psychopath as his calm and chillingly likable demeanor lure the reader, as well as his victims right in. Author Ellie Douglas knows how to unforgivingly unnerve her audience with each turn of the page. Perfect!

WHO DO VOODOO is about 2 preteen boys from NYC visiting one of the boys family in New Orleans. Upon arrival, they feel something is wrong and they are instantly thrown into a captivating mystery that they are determined to solve on their own. Other than the books mystery, the author easily introduces and teaches important topics such as environmental and wildlife safety as well as the rich history of Louisiana. WHO DO VOODOO? is an excellent adventure/mystery for children ages 8-13. As a preteen, I would’ve been drawn in by the cover (and still am) and the story, so I highly recommend it!

Long Absence
Sorry for the long absence. I've been busy, and not, at the same time but I've decided to come back and talk about the year.
I showed at BookCon and BookExpo May/June of 2017. It was huge. My third book ALL ROADS SHATTERED came out about a month earlier so luckily I was able to showcase all three of my books while there. It really was an experience that I didn't think I'd survive. Four days running in and out of NYC dragging my various assistants on various days. I will say it was one of the stand out moments in my short life as an indie author.
I adopted/rescued a kitten. The little love of my life is named Chloe. My sons girlfriend rescued Chloe who had gotten herself wedged inside a car engine trying to get warm on a cold, cold December night. I fell in love with that little feral kitten at first sight and shes been taming me for the last year and a half. She has a hashtag #mychloecat. I post my gorgeous tabby on my Instagram and Facebook pages.
I also have read and reviewed a few books which I'll post on Blah Blah Blog. I also received an Official Selection in Poetry from New Apple Literary for my second book ALL ROADS DESTINED. There's more but I'll post as I go along. The cat hates when I'm on the laptop.

Guilty pleasure... BLOOD DRIVE
Talk about guilty pleasures? I have found mine and it's SYFY'S Blood Drive on Wednesday nights. I don't know what anyone was thinking when making this show but it's got the perfect amount of everything if you like weird and goofy. Grindhouse productions has won me over, not an easily accomplished feat, as I am not much of a TV viewer. I'll be tuning in every week to watch Arthur and Grace get into as much gruesome trouble as they try to win the Blood Drive!
